ACO violinist Ilya Isakovich, joined by Maja Savnik, Nicole Divall and Melissa Barnard, has created a moving tribute to the great Russian composer Tchaikovsky with a performance of the Andante Cantabile from the String Quartet No. 1.
Ilya says: “While making this video I was deeply inspired by my connection to the place where I was born and learned how to play my first notes on the violin. Tchaikovsky’s music reflects his love for the land and he used folk tunes extensively in his compositions, including the one you are about to hear.”
